The work evokes for me a sense of identity coming out of long memory. Aspects of the past as well as my own family history have been explored and hope to give some fleeting glimpses into the fragmented echos of a time long gone. Transient landscapes imply the fragility of life and provide an escape from the banal.

Photography plays a big part in the research process, using found images, old family photographs as well as photographs taken in the surrounding urban and rural landscape.
