Wandesford Quay CLG Part-time Administrator
12 month Rolling Contract Position
Wandesford Quay CLG is a management company formed by Cork City Council in 2000, to administrate the management of the Wandesford Quay Complex which houses three arts organisations: Backwater Artists Group, Cork Printmakers & The Lavit Gallery. Wandesford Quay CLG is hiring a part-time Administrator to co-ordinate administrative tasks, manage the finances of the organisation, liaise with the Board of Directors and all three organisations in the Wandesford Quay complex to ensure the smooth running of the premises.
Job Description Administrator
Planning & Development
The Administrator should attend and minute board meetings, should send out notice of board meetings to Directors with a prepared Agenda, and also prepare and submit an Administrative Report at each Board meeting and implement Board decisions.
Together with the Board of Directors the Administrator should ensure up to date policies are in place and support the strategic development and vision of the organisation.
Operations
Liaise with the Caretaker, Wandesford Quay CLG, Backwater Artists Group, Cork Printmakers & Lavit Gallery, Wandesford Quay Courtyard Committee, and Cork City Council to ensure the smooth management and operation of the building.
Obtain quotes and invoices for works relating to the facilities as they arise. Liaise with contractors and the caretaker on same.
Support the development of events. Annual Report to Charities Registrar.
Set up and management of digital and paper filing systems.
Finance
Set up and manage financial systems, including: drafting and managing annual budgets; tracking income and expenditure; processing invoices and payments; secure quotes; generating monthly internal reports; and, preparation of information towards annual end of year audited accounts.
Programming
Write funding proposals for projects and submitting grant applications as they arise.
Communications
Assist in the co-ordination, gathering and editing visual and written content for promotion and website development.

- Knowledge of Bookkeeping systems
- Background or interest in the arts is desirable
- Strong IT Skills
- Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
- Strong organisational and multi-tasking skills
Hours
Salary: €18 per hour
Hours: 5 hours per week (flexible, ideally one morning per week).
Appointment
This post is subject to a satisfactory 3 month probationary month.
Place of work
Primarily working from home, though may be required to attend the Complex on occasion, including monthly meetings in Cork City.
