Exhibition Tours – Backwater Artist Group

Backwater Artists Group invites you to join us for two exclusive tours of our exhibitions at Wandesford Quay, during the month of May. Tours will take place on Thursday 2nd May and Thursday 9th May from 11 am – 12 noon.

Each tour will begin at Lavit Gallery where we will discuss the exhibition Field Trip, an exhibition of Backwater Artists Group members curated by Kevin Kavanagh Gallery, Dublin. The exhibition explores themes of Landscape and Memory, Magic and Loss and features artists Padraig Spillane, Sean Hanrahan, Susan Montgomery, Deirdre Frost, Izabella Szczutkowska, Diane Magee, Ben Reilly, Joseph Heffernan, Angela Gilmour, Róisín O Sullivan

We will then visit another exhibition onsite at Backwater Artists Group Studio 12 exhibition space. The exhibition Closing Of The Bones  by Clare Murphy will showcase a collection of works which investigate narratives of motherhood, domestic place, and rituals of the everyday through the medium of film both still and moving image.
