Artist Statement
Often the starting point for a work for me will be a found image. Over time I collect a series of images that at some point will begin a narrative that is meaningful to me. The urge to combine these images and re-imagine them brings them to life in a way that is more present than the images in their original form. In this act of remembrance I feel like I am archiving a new past for them and in some cases a more pleasant alternative.
