Urban Residues Residency
Ciara Rodgers
- 20 July - 2 August
- Tuesday – Friday 10 am – 5pm
- Studio 12
Drawing on psychogeography and the material ethos of Arte Povera, Ciara Rodgers’ Studio 12 project residency investigates city traces of social, economic, and gendered experience through its physical fabric.
Through processes of collecting, documenting, and transforming found objects, construction debris and materials, drawings, and Polaroid photographs, Rodgers will create experimental and fragile installations that challenge ideas of permanence. This residency offers an opportunity to experiment with some new material approaches while reflecting on her recent work, pulling in recurring concerns such as architecture, urban space, and the lived experience of navigating the city.
Urban Residues evaluates the everyday remnants of urban life and relationships between architecture, memory, materiality, and human presence
