Join Danny Foley in conversation with artist, educator and Foley’s mother Dr. Collette Nolan.
In this event, they will discuss some of the concepts in his solo show Room Innate and the archival footage in the show that Nolan recorded of Foley as a child as part of her MA and PhD research.
Through both Nolan’s perspective as well as Foley’s response to her recordings of his early embodied gestures, the discussion will explore the relationship between Foley’s approach to making art and how his reinterpretation of Nolan’s recordings has influenced his practice.
