On Tuesday 27th May, we will visit Dublin for a National Gallery Curatorial Tour, a trip to RHA Annual, a visit to Samir Mahmood’s studio FSAS and an FSAS Tour, and a visit to studio member Ailbhe Ní Bhriain’s exhibition The Dream Pool Intervals at the Hugh Lane Gallery.
Mainie Jellett and Evie Hone. The Art of Friendship at The National Gallery – read more about the show here.
This tour initiative is devised to encourage contemporary artists and third level students to engage with temporary exhibitions and support their use of the Gallery as a resource and site of inspiration for research and practice. Considering the nature of the exhibition; artists, medium, subject and genre, specifically selected studios/collectives and undergrad/post-grad course groups are invited in to the Gallery to have a tour with curator Sarah McAuliffe, providing rich insight to the curatorial process and the potential for a more meaningful experience.
