Call for Expressions of Interest | Art Writers
Backwater Artists Group invites expressions of interest from art writers interested in contributing critical responses to our exhibition programme at Studio 12.
We are looking to connect with writers who would like to be considered for future opportunities to respond to exhibitions through short, thoughtful texts engaging with the work of our members.
Selected writers will be commissioned on a project-by-project basis, with texts published on our website and shared across our social media channels.
We particularly welcome interest from Cork-based and emerging writers.
How to apply
Please submit the following as a single PDF:
- A short bio (max 200 words)
- 1–2 writing samples (published or unpublished)
- A brief expression of interest outlining your approach to writing about art and why you’re interested in this opportunity (max 300 words)
- Links to any relevant work or publications (if applicable)
