Artists statement
Liudmila Kalinka’s practice explores human perception of reality, with particular attention to internal states, patterns of perception, and the underlying processes through which reality is interpreted and understood. Drawing on intuition, lived and observed experience, and research into consciousness and human behaviour, her work unfolds through a visual language that moves between abstraction and association. Through this, she examines how subtle and often unseen factors influence perception, and the conditions that shape experience and our sense of the world.
