Artist Bio

I am a Visual Artist living and working in Cork . 

Primarily a mixed media Sculptor, I always draw and paint as part of my practice. 

My 3d work is often characterised by colour and surface detail. My  imagery often utilises animal or bird forms, but not exclusively.

Artist Statement

I look at ideas of responsibility and freedom and their associated physical and mental boundaries. Issues such as predators, protection, defence, and survival are examined. 

Recent works focus on the fragility of our situation on earth and how we are dealing or not dealing with it. Global warming,Habitat Decline, Plastic in seas, and the precariousness of our position on earth as it is.
