Bio

Colin Crotty graduated with an MA in Fine Art from Chelsea College of Art & Design , London, 2004 and BA Hons Fine Art at Crawford College of Art & Design, Cork, 1997. Recent exhibitions include Labour of Love: Economies of care in contemporary art, Glucksman Gallery, Cork (2025); Irish Art Centre, New York (2022); Solas Nua, Arts Centre, Washington, D.C (2022); 6th Biennial in Painting, Zagreb, Croatia, Pallas Projects (2021); Moving Spaces, Glucksman Gallery, Cork (2020); RAUM Galerie (solo), Dusseldorf, Germany (2019); Oonagh Young Gallery, (solo) Dublin (2018); Matthias Erngtes Galerie, (solo) Düsseldorf, Germany (2017); DROP Beyond Boundaries, Goodman Arts Centre, Singapore (2017). Artist Statement

Colin Crotty is an artist who uses painting to explore lived experience, belonging, and ideas of social and symbolic boundaries. Drawing on collage, his work brings together personal, cultural, and historical influences to explore the shifting space between reality, memory and imagination.
