Ciara Gormley

Artist Bio

Ciara works from her studio in Co. Waterford, Ireland. Following a Degree in Art History from University College, Dublin, she concentrated fully on her art practise, taking an Advanced Life Drawing Module at Crawford College, Cork in 2013/14 and receiving 1st Class (Hons). She was also a member of the Turps Mentorship Programme in 2022/2023.

She recently completed a residency in France with the Hambly & Hambly Gallery. She was awarded an Artlinks Bursary by Waterford County Council over 5 consecutive years from 2016, who also awarded her a 2nd Residency at the Tyrone Guthrie Centre in 2019. She exhibits regularly in both solo and group exhibitions in Ireland and the U.K. Ciara is a painter who explores the relationship between colours, light, figuration and abstraction.
