Anna Cavenagh

Artist Bio

Anna Cavenagh is a Swiss-Australian artist based in Cork. Cavenagh is a recent graduate of a BA (Hons) in Fine Art at MTU Crawford College of Art and Design and completed her BA in Art at SETU Wexford School of Art. Her work was included in the 2025 Crawford College of Art and Design degree show. Her work was shown in the exhibition room at the 809 Platform event at the Academy of Theatre and Dance in Amsterdam in November 2024.

Artist Statement

My practice is multidisciplinary, spanning performance, sculpture, installation, fibre arts, photography and video. My work is informed by my experience as a migrant and is interested in examining colonialism, the feminine experience and contemporary western culture. My work engages with and questions historical and contemporary societal norms and mores by juxtaposing conflictual and oppositional elements.
