Backwater Artists Group
Founded in 1990 by graduates of the CIT Crawford College of Art & Design and is dedicated to providing studios of a professional standard for Visual Artists. It is one of the largest purpose built artists’ studios in Ireland and is an equal opportunities Art Facility. It is committed to addressing issues concerning the practice of Visual Arts and to promoting improved conditions for Artists. There are a total of 28 studios, 22 of which are Painting/Mixed Media and 6 Sculpture. 40 artists currently work in the studios. Backwater Artists Group is supported by Cork City Council and the Arts Council.

Meditations on the Anthropocene by Linda Young
Linda Young is a visual artist who works primarily in print and video installation. Her practice is centred around the exploration and perception of our changing environments and the digital age we live in. Graduating from CIT Crawford College of Art and Design in 2016 with a B.A hons degree in Fine Art, she was awarded the Backwater Artist Group Ciarán Langford Memorial Bursary residency, culminating in a solo show at the new Studio 12 project/exhibition space.

Cork Printmakers offers artists a creative environment in which to make fine art prints. It is one of the leading open access print studios in Ireland and a key fixture in international print development. Our mission is to provide, manage and maintain an excellent printmaking facility, equipment and specialist materials. The Studio addresses the technical concerns of artist printmakers; promotes multi-disciplinary and innovative approaches to art practice and creates opportunities for artists through exhibitions and networking, both nationally and internationally. Public appreciation and experience of printmaking is actively encouraged through innovative education programmes which span all ages. Cork Printmakers acknowledges the financial support of the Arts Council and Cork City Council.

Aurora’17: an exhibition by Conor Callery, Ciara Barker, Róisín McCabe & Sarah Roseingrave.
This exhibition introduces the work of 4 artists, who received Emerging Artist Bursary Awards from Cork Printmakers in 2017. These artists graduated from CIT Crawford College of Art & Design and Limerick College of Art & Design.
Exhibition opening hours: Monday – Friday, 9.30am – 5.30pm, closed Sat. & Sun.
Group Tours & Print Demonstrations:
13, 14, 15, 16 & 17 November
Artist members of Cork Printmakers will give guided group tours of the workshop and exhibition. Maximum of 2 demonstrations per day. Tours and demonstrations must be booked in advance.All events are free. Booking is essential.
